St Patrick's Day treasure hunt

While Grace was at school today, Faith and Benjamin went on a treasure hunt.

Faith the followed the map.

And showed Benjamin where to go.

They took turns finding the clues.

Until all the Leprechaun treasure was found.

St Patrick's day treasure hunts are the best!

Benjamin is much stronger than I realized.

David put a timer controlling our modem and router.  Benjamin has been trying to get to that timer so he could play with it.  And today he knocked his entire dresser over all by himself.

I think Benjamin was terrified he was in trouble, but I have to admit all I could do was laugh and run for the camera... 

Riding Patches

Going to Riverside Ranch is fast becoming our favorite past time.

Benjamin adores the cat.

And the cat adores him.

Faith likes watching her big sister.

And Grace just loves riding Patches.

She gets her going at a pretty fast trot.

And Grace is fearless.

Now she's learning the barrel pattern.

And before long she'll be a real cowgirl, I think.

Building a sandbox

We have all this spare wood lying around.

So today David decided to build the kids a sandbox.

And of course Grace wanted to help.

She loved the power tools.

Faith practiced her balancing.

Then she wanted to help her Daddy, too.

And Benjamin wouldn't be left out.

So he tried to help, too.

By working together we built a giant sandbox.  Now we just need the sand...

He's so cool

Benjamin is full of self confidence.

He already knows that real boys can wear pink and pull it off.

Especially when he sucks his thumb he knows he can get away with just about anything - even making his sister scream by wearing her sunglasses...

Messy eating

Benjamin may be a messy eater.

But he never lets any of it go to waste.

Boat ride

Today we went on a boat ride.

And MeeMee was able to join us.

We are so thankful she's feeling better.

Grace pretended to drive the boat.

And so did Faith.

It is exhilarating on the water.

And we all enjoyed it.

Best of all, we got to spend the day with MeeMee.

And enjoy a beautiful sunset together.

It just doesn't get much better than that.

Scooter race!

There's nothing like a little sisterly competition.

While Faith is much smaller than Grace, she's one determined little girl.  She came in a close second.  It won't be long and she just might pass her big sister by.

Squash Daddy!

The kids love to climb on their Daddy.  Grace says she's the whipped cream and Faith says she's the cherry on top.  And Benjamin just loves to squash them all flat.

Riding lessons

Grace is taking horseback lessons.

This is Patches, the horse she rides.

Benjamin enjoys playing with Owen while his biggest sister rides on the horse.

Faith likes the cat.  We are not sure what the cat's name is.

Me?  I just like watching all my kiddos have a good time.

Grace is progressing quickly with her lessons.

Before long she'll be jumping fences and racing around barrels...
