So MeeMee and Bethany, Grace and Stephen and even little Faith enticed those little ducklings with bread to follow them all the way back home to their pond.

Succulents!

I have been wanting some houseplants for a while.

However, I tend to have a black thumb and kill most anything.  Completely unintentionally.  So I decided to give succulents a try.  They are supposed to thrive with neglect.  Perfect!

So today the girls and I had a planting party while Benjamin napped.  They're just nothing like working the dirt.  I love it and so do my girls.

So, I let both Faith and Grace pick a pot and plant for their own.  And we planted them.

Faith chose a tall bushy little thing while Grace selected a fuzzy little plant.  I have no idea what kind any of these are.  I just know they look so cheerful in their new pots.  And my home looks cozier and more lived in.  When we finished, we had enough plants to put some in just about every room - master bedroom, master bath, family room, even our guest bedroom.  Ten in total. 

 

I think this has given me planting fever.  Now I have decided I should try out an herb garden in our dining nook.  We have this great long window with the perfect ledge.  Yes, I think that shall be my next planting project...

My big helper

Sometimes I don't know what I would do without my big helper.

Grace is fantastic.  She loves to hold Benjamin and feed him a bottle.  God has blessed her with a strong mothering instict and a compassionate and caring heart.  I am certain that she will make an amazing mother one day.

In the meantime, she is an incredible little girl.  And she often helps me out by holding and feeding Benjamin while giving me half an hour to get dinner ready.

David had a surprise for Grace today.

Her very first BB gun.

Grace was very excited.

As was Faith.

I have a feeling that she's going to enjoy shooting as much as her Daddy does. 

Such a tiny baby

Look at those tiny fingers holding his Daddy's thumb.

It's amazing how small he still is.

And it won't be much longer before he finally has hair.  I just love the back of his head and the way his hair grows in a circle.  Grace's hair did that, too.  Faith's hair did not.  I wish now I had thought to take pictures of their heads, too.

Asleep sitting up

I put Faith in time out today.  It didn't work like I had intended.  She used her time out as nap time.  On second thought, maybe I should use it more often...
