Dinner in Daphne

We tried a new restaurant for dinner Saturday night. East Shore Cafe is just a few miles from our house.
It's a cute little house turned restaurant.
We had angel hair pasta, salad, and garlicky bread. Yum! Grace really enjoyed the noodles.
Slurrrrrrp. Mmmmmm.
Hope was a little camera shy.
Not me, though.
Especially with this for dessert.

War Eagle!

It's finally football season!

And we're ready for our first game!

Go Auburn!

Late night snack

After swimming, Grace wanted some "dapes." To avoid a meltdown, David wrapped her in his tshirt and pulled out the grapes.

"Fimming" reallys works up her appetite.
She was so hungry, she just ate them right off the vine.
Did I mention that Grace really likes her grapes?
She quietly sat on the counter and ate the whole bunch.

Cloud animals

Do you ever look up at the sky and search for animals in the sky?  I do.

Guess what I see in this cloud.

A flying pig!

Do you see it?

Storytime at the library

Today we went to the local library.

They have a wonderful storytime twice a week.

But first we explored the children's wing.

It's a huge room with murals along all the walls.

There's thousands and thousands of books.  All on bookshelves at kid's height.
There are also interactive toys in different nooks and crannies.
Like this thing where you can leave your handprints.

There's Mommy and Grace's handprints together.

After playing for a while, it was storytime!

First, they read Duck on a Bike.  It was a very cute story!

And then they read some nursery rhymes like Hey Diddle Diddle.

Finally, the kids got to color some pictures of Cat and the Fiddle.
And we went home.  It was a lot of fun.  We're going to add the library to our weekly list of adventures.

Grace has two new "feck-alls"

My sweet little girl has two more angel kisses giving her a total of five so far. The first three are all on her right side: one by her eye, one on her hip, and one on her shoulder. To see photos of her first three freckles click here.

These two new "feck-alls" are on her right palm and on her left arm. I took this photo while she was sweetly napping.  I love how these two sprinkles of love line up while she's asleep.

Birthday invites are in the mail!

I can't believe that Grace will be TWO years old by the end of the month!  It seems just like yesterday I was pregnant with her.  I guess time really does go by fast when you're having fun.

There's lots of invites in the mail now to all our friends and family.  We're having the party at the Wharf of Wonder at the Mobile Exploreum.  To see pictures of the Wharf click here or here.
After the "official" party at the museum, we hope our friends and family will come by our house to swim and maybe fish some.  We may even have a big shrimp boil!  As long as we have friends and family, I know we'll have a great time and make a lot of great memories to cherish for years to come.
