Chloe got her hair cut

Chloe was groomed today.
And she was tickled pink.
Not really.  She hates getting groomed but she always looks so fabulous afterwards.  And now she's all ready for Valentine's Day.

Dog park

I took all my girls to the dog park today.
Grace was in charge of Chloe.  Grace loves to be in charge!
"Look, Chloe!  I found a flying thing for you!"  Um. That flying thing is called a frisbee, dear.
"I'll throw it and you go get it.  Okay?"
 "Mmmmffff!"
"Go get it Chloe!"  Chloe just looked back at Grace like, "Really?  Why don't you go get it instead..."
"Don't worry, Grace.  I'll get it for you and you go get Chloe!"  And Faith started crawling towards the frisbee.

Just look at Faith's hair.  For some reason it is determined to stand straight up and out at every angle...
And Grace was off chasing after Chloe yelling, "Chloe!  Ccccc-loooooow-EEEEE!"
Chloe took off like a flash after she heard Grace calling out, "I'm gonna get you, Chloe!"
Meanwhile, Faith was distracted by a leaf.  A tiny, tiny leaf.         I think.
"Slow down, Chloe!  You're running too fast!"
Faith looked over her shoulder just in time to catch Grace catching Chloe.
Poor Chloe.  She got plenty of exercise today running from Grace.   But Grace got even more exercise.  She was pretty tired by the time we decided to go home.  Faith just enjoyed the freedom of crawling around and exploring in the grass.  Don't worry, I checked for poop before letting her play.
We all enjoyed our afternoon at the park today.  It was too bad we never saw any other dogs there.

A visit to the vet

Chloe is sick.
I put her in the car to take her to the vet.
And she puked.  In. My. Car!  Ugh.
So this is what it's like going to the vet with me.  I have a 4 year old dog, a 3 three year old daugther, her toy "Puppy Friend", and a 7 month old baby girl to carry in.  Not to mention a purse full of "just in case" items.  Needless to say, I have my hands full.
Grace insisted on bringing Puppy Friend to the doctor and was quite disappointed when he left without a shot, too.  Lately, Puppy Friend has been going everywhere Grace goes.  On walks.  To school.  And apparently to Chloe's vet visit.  I'm not quite sure if I should tell Grace that Puppy Friend isn't a real puppy..

Anyway, Chloe has another urinary tract infection and an infection in her throat.  Her UTI is due to me not wiping her hiney each and every time she goes potty.  Her throat infection is from licking her hiney.  Ick!  She received a shot and starts a round of antibiotics tomorrow.  Hopefully she'll be back to normal soon.

Chloe gets a bone

We felt somewhat bad for Chloe since she didn't get any turkey (that we know of) at Thanksgiving.
So we offered her the ham bone from my bean soup.
She really liked it.
She gnawed on it for hours and then whined to bring it inside.  We love Chloe and wanted her to have something to be thankful for this year.  Something besides us for her family, of course.  But as much as I love her, there was no way that bone was coming in our house.  I hope she enjoyed it while it lasted...
