This afternoon we decided to enjoy some sand and sun.
So we headed to the beach.
And Grace chased the sea gulls.
Then I helped both Faith and Grace find some seashells.
And Grace stumbled upon a crocodile. Or is it an alligator?
I warned her that crocodile might eat her toes, but she didn't believe me.
Faith sat in the sand with her Daddy.
A bit of sand found its way to her hand.
So she ate it. Of course. I learned a long time ago that if you take a baby to the beach, she's going to eat sand. It helps their digestive system, y'know.
Faith's feet were covered with sand in no time at all.
Have I mentioned that Faith doesn't particularly like sand? She held her foot in the air for the longest time trying to figure out a way to get the sand off and keep it off. All to no avail I'm afraid.
Meanwhile Grace and her Daddy played in the water.
And spun round and round.
Like I said, Faith really doesn't like the sand. At all.
But then we gave her a bucket.
And she ate some more sand.
She doesn't particularly care for the texture of it.
But she does seem to like sand a bit better. As long as it stays in the bucket, that is.
David and Grace tried to get Faith to walk on the beach with them.
After a while, she trusted her Daddy.
And finally started to enjoy herself.
Grace helped a lot. Anything Grace does, Faith wants to try.
I love all their feet together.
I'm a sucker for little feet. And David's big feet, too.
Look! Faith is following along with her Daddy. She'll be walking in his footsteps before we know it.
Before long the sun started to set and it was time to go home. We love the beach and our family time together today and we will have to come back for another afternoon sometime really soon.
