Flowers for her teacher's assistant

This week is assistant teacher appreciation week.

And Grace was instructed to bring flowers in for her assistant teacher.  So Grace picked some roses from our yard for both her assistant teacher and her bus driver.  What a sweet girl she is.

Sunflower

What I thought to be an enormous weed that refused to die.

Has turned out to be a flower.

I think it may have come as a result of our bird feeder directly above this flower.

Faith asked so sweetly if she could pick it and of course I let her.

Then she gave it to me and said that I was "duh bess Momma in duh hole live whirl" (the best Momma in the whole wide world).

My how she melts my heart...

Lemons!

My lemon tree has abundantly produced lemons this year.

So many that it is about to fall over.

And it's hard to believe but these lemons are the size of baseballs and there are more than 40 on the tree.  I can't wait to start picking!

Toddler bed

Benjamin has figured out how to climb out of his crib.  Actually I should say that he has figured out how to fall out of his crib.  He is strong enough to lift his upper body over the railing.  Then he lifts his legs and gravity does the rest pulling him straight to the ground head first.

So I converted his bed to a toddler bed and he finally fell asleep after much crying he finally gave up and crawled into his bed and went to sleep.  I only hope he doesn't fall out of it and wake up again...

Boating again

Today we took the boat out again.

And Benjamin and Faith both took nap.

And Grace and I enjoyed the scenery while David puttered us around.

Boating with friends

Today was an amazing day.

It couldn't have been more beautiful.

So we headed out on the boat.

Grace danced to the music.

Benjamin just watched.

And Faith sat quietly content with the wind blowing in her hair.

And we enjoyed our out-of-town guests.

And I think they enjoyed it, too.

We went to a hole in the wall favorite place and snacked on great seafood while the children played in the sandbox.

Then the sun started to set.

And we headed home.

And the sky was so gorgeous that pictures just don't do it justice.  What a perfect day.

Playing outside

Today was another lovely day.

So we spent it outside riding bicycles.

And Benjamin adores the Barbie wheeler.  And I adore the way he sticks his legs out while he rides it.
