Trip or Treat!

Grace and Faith love dressing up together.
They are both fairies here.
But then Faith threw up all over her fairy costume.
So we changed her into her flower costume instead and went to a friends house to trick or treat with them.
They do it in style.  They hook up a trailer with cushions and hay and ride all over the neighborhood.  When I was a kid we Flinstoned our way around town or we did without candy...
Anyway Grace was excited to trick or treat with her friends.
We loaded up and headed out.

And this happened on Grace's way to the first house...
The neighborhood really went all out decorating.
Grace and her Daddy went in the "haunted house" while I waited outside with Faith and the cameras.
Grace had a wonderful time.
When we got home we cleaned up her boo-boo from her fall.
Spongebob made it all better.  Along with kisses from Momma and Daddy.
Then we inspected her treats.
She got quite the haul!
Another great holiday for the memory books...

Fairies and flowers

Look out!  It's Tinkerbell!
Oh, that's not right.  It's "Dray-cee-belle!" (Graciebelle).
We've decided that Graciebelle is a flower fairy.
And this is her flower!
Such a pretty flower.
I'm glad Faith enjoys dressing up like Grace.
Of course, she adores her fairy - I mean, sister.
They go together like peanut butter and jelly.  Or flowers and fairies.
They're best friends already.

Cat and mouse

Grace is a cat.
And Faith is her mouse.
Just about every day, the girls have dressed up in some fashion or another.
Grace really likes Faith's mouse costume.
And insisted that Faith put it on today.
Grace said, "I pom-miss not to eat Bait!"  (I promise not to eat Faith.)
How considerate of her.
Faith just enjoys the attention from her big sister.  Even if she does have to dress up for it.

Sunset with a flower

On our way to the pier, Grace picked a flower.
It matched her dress.  She adores flowers.
The water was really choppy.
And it was too windy to stay out for long so we went back inside - flower and all.

Pumpkin guts

Today was an exciting day.
Even Faith was full of anticipation.
Grace was ready with her bucket and shovel.
She told us repeatedly, "Don't worry.  It's my job!  I do it!"
And then she saw the inside of our giant pumpking.
And decided Daddy could do it instead.
She allowed him to put some of the pumpkin guts in her bucket.
Eventually she helped scoop some out.
Big pumpkins have impressive amounts of guts.
We ended up with over 8 cups full...
We filled that pitcher many times.
Grace liked moving the guts from one container to another.
But she didn't like touching it with her hands.  It was too "goopy."
Chloe cleaned up anything we dropped on the floor.  Good Chloe!
And I sorted out the seeds.
We love roasted pumpkin seeds.
We ended up with just over 2 cups full of seeds.  Yum!
