Crawling

Benjamin is growing up so fast.
He's taking after his Daddy in more ways than one.
He loves all techy gadgets.
Especially remote controls and cell phones.
By chasing after my phone he has learned to crawl.

100 project

As a way of celebrating 100 days of school, Grace's class was assigned a homework project to bring in a poster board with 100 items glued on it.  Grace chose "diamonds" of course.  And she did an excellent job making her poster board all by herself.  It's amazing how quickly she's growing up.

Styrofoam fun

David and I bought a new piece of furniture from World Market.  The girls always get excited when we buy anything that comes in a large box.
Instead of playing with the box, tonight we played with the stuffing.
Grace was SuperGrace and broke monster styrofoam bricks into tiny pieces.
And Faith was Super Faith running to everyone's rescue.
And saving the day.
Then we went on a trip to Alaska where we hopped from iceberg to iceberg.
So the "crock-o-gators" couldn't eat us.
Those crock-o-gators are scary.
And love to snack on little girls, y'know.
Then they piled into life rafts.
And rowed their way to safety.
All the while singing "Whoa, whoa, whoa my boat!"
And finally an enormous dragon swooped in and devoured us all!

Nebulizing review

Today we went back to the pediatrician to check out Benjamin's wheezing.
Like clockwork, we've nebulized every 4 hours - day and night.  But he's still wheezing.  In spite of the terrible wheezing sound where he sounds like he is struggling to breathe, Benjamin acts fine and his oxygen count is good.  So maybe he just has allergies like his Daddy...

Nebulizing

Benjamin has been wheezing a lot lately.  Our pediatrician thinks he has a form of brochiolitus - similar to asthma.  So she sent us home with a nebulizer.
Benjamin is supposed to receive breathing treatments every 4 hours for the next few days.
So far, he's not a fan of the treatments but we pray that they will work.

Getting ready for Mardi Gras

Hey y'all it's Mardi Gras!
So the girls decided to make some Mardi Gras shirts.
We used sparkly fabric paint and stencils to customize our very own butterfly shirts.
And we ate moon pies.
And tried on different masks.
And had a grand time getting ready for the parades.

Mardi Gras wreath

It's Mardi Gras season again!
This year Grace helped me make a Mardi Gras wreath for our front door using leftover Mardi Gras beads from last year.
I think it turned out pretty cute, don't you?

Hoo Hoo has hair?

Faith helped me transplant a baby succulent offshoot today.
We put him in an owl pot and she told me her "Hoo! Hoo!  Owl has hair!"  And indeed he looks like he does.

War Eagle baby

Benjamin was born into an Auburn family.
Not only are both his parents alumni.
But two of his aunts and a few cousins are as well.
There's a lot of blue and orange blood in this family.
So we're teaching him early on our battle cry of "War Eagle!"
But he has a few years yet to earn his tiger stripes.
In the meantime, it's fun playing dress up.
And playing with old footballs and baseballs.
Interestingly enough, Benjamin seemed to prefer the football.
Maybe he's going to take after his Daddy.
I certainly hope he doesn't inherit my lack of athletic ability.
But either way he certainly makes a cute little Auburn Tiger.  War Eagle!

Best buddies

They say that dog is man's best friend.
In our case, Chloe is certainly Benjamin's best buddy.
Especially when that buddy has animal crackers.
And is willing to share.
Yep, that makes Chloe willing to be friends for sure.
And Benjamin couldn't resist Chloe's sweet begging.
Yep, they'll be best buddies for life.

Asleep with baby doll

It's so sweet how Faith can fall asleep in the wink of an eye.

Family picnic

Today was an absolutely gorgeous winter day.  It was 70 degrees outside.
So we went to Blakeley park for a picnic.
A meal is always more fun sitting on the ground.
Somehow the food just tastes better.
For our picnic we devoured chicken salad wraps and grapes with a swig of lemonade.
Then Grace caught some Spanish moss.
Or maybe it caught her.
Then it was play time.
David twirled each of the girls.
Around and around.
And upside down.
Then he hung out in the tree with Benjamin.
Who was overcome with excitement being so high.
And it was just another spectacular day enjoying the outdoors with family.
