Flowers

Grace loves flowers.
And every time we go to Queenie's house, Grace takes time to inspect the garden.
She oohs and aahs over the pink roses.
And carefully sniffs the bridal wreath.
Grace also finds beauty in the lone wildflower.
And always takes a deep, deep breath.
 Squeezes her eyes shut.
And makes a wish as she blows the dandelion fluff away.

Washing the car. And Cat.

Seth was getting ready for his big prom date.
So he decided to wash his ride.  Grace wanted to help.
So he showed her how to fill the bucket with water.
 And then wet the car.
I don't think he counted on her getting happy with the hose.
In fact, I think he got more than he bargained for.
Grace had a great time hosing around.
 She splashed this way.
 And that way, too.
 She sprayed in the air.
 And on the car.
 Then Grace saw Cat.
And decided that Cat needed to be washed, too.
And wouldn't you know that Cat just sat that there.
And let Grace cover her thoroughly with soap and water.
Then Cat sat in the sun to dry off.
And hid in Grace's playhouse after rolling around in the dirt.  Cat isn't any cleaner after her washing.
But Seth's sweet prom ride certainly is.

Fun at Queenie's house

There's always something fun to do at Queenie's house.
Like going for a ride in the wagon.
Even Chloe had a good time.
Faith was tucked in snuggly in her float.  It works as Faith's seatbelt...
See how much fun Faith has making faces?  Grace used to make that same face.
But now that Grace is older, she likes to play dress up.
Especially with pretty gold high heels.
What fun we had with just little things around the house.

Another visit to the beach

We went to the beach again today.
 We really love the beach.
And had a lot of fun.
Faith wore a bonnet to protect her bald head.
Queenie and Granddaddy came, too.  They were in town keeping Faith while Grace had her ear surgery.
Poor Faith was miserable.  She didn't like her bonnet.  Or the water.  Or the sand.
So while Queenie held Faith, Granddaddy played in the sand with Grace.
I enjoyed sitting in the sand with my mom and Faith.
Grace had a blast digging and playing in the sand.
Then she found a big shell all by herself!
Of course, she got drenched trying to get it.
And David and I got some alone time walking the beach.
All in all, we had a wonderful time.

Beach condo

Grace was feeling great after her surgery and wanted to go to the beach.  So to the beach we went.  While in the area, we arranged to see a condo that's on the market.  We've been contemplating making an investment.
The unit we saw is on the first floor.
It has a pretty open floor plan with a nice sized kitchen.
 This is the master bedroom.
With doors going outside and a nice view.
There are two bathrooms just alike.  This is the master's.  It's small but functional.
Here is the second bedroom. It's quite large with a exceptional closet.
And a third bedroom with bunkbeds!
There's even a washer and dryer.  Love that!
It actually comes furnished - which is wonderful.  The sofa has a bed hidden inside.
This is the view from the kitchen and family space.
Here it is again zoomed in 3x.  Unfortunately I didn't bring my bigger lens.  You really can see the ocean from the room without any problems.
This walkway is right outside the unit and leads to the pool.
And it's a large pool indeed.
Then there is a boardwalk to the beach itself.
Beside the sidewalk are these cute chairs overlooking the beach.
And what a nice and private beach it is!
All throughout the grounds are shady little niches you can sit and enjoy.
 There are tennis courts.
 A gym.
And an indoor heated pool.

David and I are seriously considering making a bid.  We think it could be a wonderful investment that we could also enjoy ourselves.  We could go visit and stay when it wasn't rented out and there's enough space that we could also bring our families.  We're going to pray about it and if it's meant for us, it will happen.  And if it's not meant to be, then we can walk away just as easily.
