Garden faries are terrifed of... CAT

Grace and Faith played in the garden next to Queenie's house.
And they dressed as little fairies.
Of course, Faith said her fairy didn't want wings.
But Grace had her wings.
And showed them off.
Both my girls look as beautiful as any garden fairy.
But not all fairies or girls are the same.
Faith's most fearsome enemy "TAT" (CAT) came out to the garden.
Cat is a small friendly cat that roams the neighborhood and always ends up at Queenie's house when my girls are there to play.  Grace loves Cat.  Faith dislikes Cat.  Grace, being the "berry braythe" (very brave) and might I add very sweet big sister, held Faith's hand and told her not to be scared of Cat.   But Cat still managed to frighten Faith away.

All my babies

Today I took a few precious pictures of my precious babies.

Grace loves to hold her baby brother.
And she likes to smother him with little kisses.
It's a good thing Benjamin is so mild-mannered.
Because he gets tossed from one big sister to the other.
Faith constantly says that she loves her  "bee-bee brudder" (baby brother).
And she loves her "Draycee" (Gracie), too.
And Grace adores both of her siblings.  She's quite tolerant and considerate of them both.
They melt my heart.
I hope and pray that they will always be close and loving - the best of friends.
Because family is so important.
I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful and beautiful family.

Smores on a stick

Grace loves smores and lollipops.
So today we made smores on a stick!  We stuck a stick in the marshmallow and then rolled it around in melted chocolate and then dipped it in graham cracker crumbs and sprinkles.  Yummy!

Sleeping Beauty does it again

Faith fell asleep sitting up today.
Dressed in all her princess trimmings.
She falls asleep so quickly and in the oddest of places and most uncomfortable looking positions possible.  Maybe she is under a sleeping spell...

Zoo

Today we took a trip to the zoo.
It was hot.
Very, very hot outside.
But we had the double stroller for shade.
And we hung out for a while with the birds.
Until they squawked us away.
We enjoyed looking a the few animals out.  Most were hiding in their little homes away from the brutal sun.  I don't blame them.
We only stayed for about an hour before the heat zapped us of our energy.  Fortunately for us, we live close by so we'll come back again sometime this fall after it cools off a bit.  And hopefully we will actually get to enjoy the animals frolicking in the nice cool weather.

Our new water view

One thing we love about our new house is our boat slip on the river just about a mile or so before it feeds into the bay.
There's just something so calming and peaceful about being near the water that we enjoy.  It's beautiful and relaxing and reminds us of the beauty of God's creation.
