We waited to celebrate our family Christmas until we got home.
So the morning after we arrived, the children woke up to find their presents under the tree.
And a sneaking elf peeking under the wrapping paper.
The girls were delighted to open a game - their "something to play together."
And slippers.
"Something to wear."
Their scooters were their favorites.
They were the items "something wanted."
Even Benjamin received a small game.
And basketball. I thought that was what he'd like the most.
Even Chloe got a toy.
or two. And in case you were wondering. We had "The Christmas Talk" with Grace. She wanted to know if Santa Claus was real and we told her the truth. I want our children to feel comfortable asking us anything and never doubting that we will always be honest with them and tell them the truth. And while I don't mind playing pretend with my children I never want them to doubt the true meaning of Christmas - the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
