It's windy outside

We went to the pier with the intentions of fishing.
And enjoying the sunset, of course.
We were surprised by how windy it was.
Too windy to fish.
So windy that it blew everyone's hair straight back.
Grace told me that the wind was going to blow her Faithy away. And it might have if she hadn't been strapped in.
Soon the sun disappeared behind the horizon and we went home a little windblown but relaxed nonetheless.

It's so good to be home

After driving 2 days in the car, we made it home safe and sound. While it was wonderful visiting with family, there's just no place like home.
We have enjoyed our sunsets.
And today we had a number of sea gulls fly by.
So Grace shared a bit of her "peanut butter sandwich and jelly" with one.
And he thought it was quite delicious.
And called to all of his friends.
Faith enjoyed the sight of so many birds, too.
Most of all, I think we just enjoyed a quiet evening at home together.

That sun is peeking at me!
Grace has an interesting way of bringing my attention to something. She holds her hand close to her body and points in the general direction of something with her pointer finger. The she tilts her head back to better direct me more specifically with her eyes. It's quite comical actually and utterly unique to Grace.
Why yes, it certainly is.
It was peeking at us from behind those clouds. And it was so kind of Grace to point that out to me.

Easter sunset

We spent the evening at the pier.
And arrived just in time to catch the sunset.
It was just skimming the horizon as we walked down the boardwalk.
The sunset itself was very fleeting.
But lovely nonetheless.

Pier pleasure

We went to the pier to watch the sunset. Poor Faith was pooped!
But it promised to be beautiful.
And it certainly was.
I love this time of year!
And all the wondrous sunsets it brings.

Another stunning sunset

Sometimes I am in awe of God's amazing creations.
Today was one of those days.
I couldn't help but feel humbled in front of such beauty. The girls must have felt some of the same because they were both suprisingly quiet.
It was so beautiful that we decided to get a closer look from our pier. We stopped midway for a moment.
Regardless of where we stood, it was awe inspiring.
In every direction it was the same. Breathtaking.
Stunning.
Extraordinarily beautiful.
Magnificent.
Humbling.
It reminded me again of how fortunate we are.
We are so blessed to have such a beautiful place to live.
And more intense.
I don't think I've ever seen a more spectacular sunset.
From every angle it was truly amazing.
Words just can't describe.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
I believe these may be worth more.

The sun already set

We went to the pier to watch the sun set.
It took us a while to get out there because we had to get the girls all bundled up.
They both wanted warm blankets.
We just barely missed the sun setting.
But the aftermath was beautiful.
It typically is.
