So we dressed up as a family. David just kind of rolled his eyes when I told him what I wanted to do...
Grace was Peter Pan, Faith was Tinkerbell, David was Captain Hook, and Benjamin was the Tick Tock Crock. Of course, those costumes didn't last longer than the photo before Grace changed into a princess and David put on gym clothes. We trick or treated down our street and both girls said they were tired and their buckets were too heavy as we came by our house. Literally, their buckets were overflowing after hitting less than a dozen houses.
So they pulled up their chairs, grabbed a sippy cup, and passed out candy to the multitude of trick-or-treaters. I've never seen so many kids come by in my life. We ran out of candy by 8:00 and resorted to passing out the kids candy. By 9:00 we were completely empty having given out over 20 pounds of candy plus our reserve supply of lollipops used in the event of emergency sugar lows and cranky kids. But it sure was fun. I can hardly wait until next year.
