Beach

Today we went to the beach.

It was the first time we actually let Benjamin play in the sand.

At first he didn't know what to do with it.

But it didn't take long for him to realize that he loves the sand.

Grace made sand cones.

And Benjamin ate one.  Or several.

Then Faith and Grace tried burying Benjamin in the sand. 

And Benjamin just kept eating away.

Occasionally he would tense his entire body and squeal in delight.

I think he enjoyed the sand the most.

Although Grace really likes it, too.

From burying one another.

To climbing sand mountains.

We made sand angels.

And just rolled around in it.

Then Grace put on her bathing suit.

And braved the cold water.

It didn't take her long to dash back out.

That water was pretty cold.

And it was quite windy out.

So instead of swimming we tried flying our kite.

Faith is fascinated by it.

And wanted to do it all by herself.

Then a great big gust came along and ran away with it.  Fortunately, David is a very fast runner and was able to catch it.
